A SESSION IN THE OUTDOORS

I offer walking sessions in the Amsterdamse Bos, where we spend an hour walking together while also working on your personal goal.

What makes a walking session unique is that the left-right movement of walking (bilateral stimulation) activates both hemispheres of the brain. This can help with processing emotions and memories—allowing things to sometimes fall into place a little more easily.

In addition, walking in nature lowers your cortisol level (the stress hormone), helping you relax more. A walking session therefore provides a calm and supportive foundation for therapeutic work.

During the session, we explore your goal together, look at possible blockages, and identify practical steps that can help you move forward.

Alongside the conversation, we also pay attention to your breathing, or do a small physical exercise to support your goal.
